Beauty and fashion tips to cope up with the scorching summer heat.( how to look fresh and bouncy with our summer skincare tips.)

Quick health tips for sizzling summer

• Drink lots of water.
• Consume less caffeine and alcohol.
• Eat more salads and seasonal fruits and less fatty foods.
• Wash your face more often with cold water.
• Exercise early in the morning or late in the evening.
• Meditate.

Summer is unbearable. The heat, the sweat, the sun literally drives a person crazy. In such a weather to keep up with fashion is a bit tricky coz it's the time when minds, bodies and clothing wander to outdoor mode.

Update you're summer wardrobe

Summer is a time for flaunting your trendy summer wear. It is the time to experiment with fresh and lively colors. However you also have to be careful while dressing up in summer. You have to look stylish and at the same time your clothes should be able to survive the heat. Summer is about hassle free dressing.
• sorting the items by shorts, capris, sundresses, tops, tanks, and so forth.
• consider if you're lacking a particular style that you like or find flattering: halter tops, shells, sleeveless blouses or tanks.
• Gather your tops and begin a mix-and-match process with the bottoms
• Consider how your shoes look with your updated wardrobe and determine if you could use a new pair of strappy sandals, thongs or flats.
• Make sure your summer wardrobe includes basic white cotton tees and tanks which can be paired with jeans or your capris.
• Complement your summer look with stylish sunglasses to keep you from squinting and getting crow's feet around your eyes.

Use The Right Fabrics

Think cotton, linen and silk. Of course, these are the ones that need the most ironing. Still go for it. Don't worry about the wrinkled look! It's comfortable, casual (which summer fashion is all about) and you'll feel so much cooler.

Make-up

The less make-up you use, the better for your skin. Let your skin breathe during summer. Full face make-up is not in style any more (no matter what your age). Use a tinted moisturizer rather than a regular foundation. It will even out your skin tone and is so much lighter. If you want to wear foundation, use a non-mattifying make-up. It's less oily and keeps your face fresh. Wear as little powder as possible. Try just using it in the "t-zone" that might get a little oily. Please apply sunscreen which is an absolute must-haves in summer.

Feet Care

Soak your feet and hands in water for 15/20 minutes. Add a pinch of salt in it…..it is excellent to help you get rid of fatigue. It is advisable to change water from hot to cold. That is for 2 minutes soak your feet in cold water and then soak it in hot water. This is good because it improves your blood circulation. Do this for 15 minutes once a week.

Fragrance

Keep your summer fragrance light and fresh. Don't use heavy perfumes as it tends to make you weary and dull. You can always go back to your regular or a heavier perfume at first frost.

Body Care

It's estimated that 90 percent of wrinkles cause due to sun exposure. The sun's long- and short-wave ultraviolet rays, or UVA and UVB, penetrate the deepest layers of skin, damaging the collagen -- the spongy protein that gives skin it's structure, firmness, and elasticity.
Fair skin wrinkles more readily than dark skin because it contains less pigment, which acts as a natural sunscreen, blocking some of the sun's damaging UVA and B rays. To prevent wrinkles caused due to sunrays stay out of the sun, especially between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., when it's almost directly overhead and UV radiation is strongest.
Stay in the shade as much as possible. And wear protective clothing and plenty of sunscreen. Strive to apply sunscreen 15 to 30 minutes before stepping outside. Sunscreen should always be reapplied after contact with water or after sweating. Sunscreen also should be worn year round--every time you leave the house. Shop for sunscreen that blocks against UVB and UVA rays both believed to induce skin cancer.

Smooth on a moisturizer that contains sunscreen in proper concentration. Put it on before you leave the house and reapply every two hours. Wear proper sunglasses (see our article on sunglasses) and a hat with a broad brim.

Moisturisation is the most important part of daily skin care. Your skin needs more water than anything else and moisturisers are more needed in summer when you lose most of your body salts by sweating. Buy a water-based moisturizer and use it without fail.
Make it a habit to wash your face gently with water a number of times in a day (try and use mineral water). You can splash as many as 20 times as long as you don't use very hot or cold water on your skin (which can cause fine vein to appear on your face).
Steam your face regularly to open the pores and clean your face of the dirt (five minutes for dry skin and 10 minutes if it is oily). Pat dry with tissue and moisturize.

To Help Us Looks Younger

As a new blogger, I want to share some ideas to help us looks younger. I am sure staying long hours in front of the computer would make us look older. But as a working at home Mom, we cannot just avoid doing it since this is how we earn, right?

One way to help us looks much younger, I found one site when I tried to browse a while ago, and actually this article is from yahoo health.

1. Sweet Potato Fries
Sweet potatoes are a dynamite source of beta-carotene (their bright orange color is a dead giveaway). Your body converts beta-carotene to vitamin A, a nutrient that helps to continually generate new, healthy skin cells.

I like to turn sweet potatoes into crispy oven-baked French fries. Cut peeled potatoes into ¼-inch strips and spread them in a single layer on a baking sheet coated with oil spray. Mist the fries with oil spray and season with salt, black pepper, or any other seasonings (ground cinnamon, curry powder, and chili powder are all fun options). Bake in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through. I finish my fries under the broiler for 5 minutes to get them extra crispy!

2. Balsamic Carrots
Like sweet potatoes, carrots come equipped with a generous supply of beta-carotene. In addition to its pivotal role in skin cell renewal, beta-carotene acts as a potent antioxidant, sopping up damaging free radicals that accelerate skin aging.

Fend off wrinkles with my recipe for Roasted Balsamic Carrots. Cut 1 pound of peeled carrots into 1/2-inch wedges. Spread the carrots over half of a large sheet of aluminum foil, and sprinkle them with ¼ cup balsamic vinegar, 2 tablespoons minced fresh rosemary, 2 cloves minced garlic, ¼ teaspoon paprika, salt, and pepper. Drizzle the carrots with 1 tablespoon olive oil and fold the foil over to create a tightly sealed packet. Place on a baking sheet and bake in a preheated 400 degree oven for 25 minutes or until the carrots are tender.

3. Spinach Marinara
Spinach delivers a triple of dose of wrinkle-fighting antioxidants: vitamin C, vitamin E, and beta-carotene. All three work in concert to protect your skin from the sun's UV rays so it stays vibrant and healthy.

Make a quick spinach marinara sauce by wilting fresh spinach leaves into a pot of simmering tomato sauce, then serve over pasta or grilled chicken cutlets.

4. Toasted Pecans
Pecans are one of a short list of foods rich in Vitamin E, a nutrient that's vital to skin health. By forming a protective barrier in the cell membranes of your skin, the vitamin E in pecans helps to ward off harmful free radicals and therefore helps to keep skin firm and elastic.

Pecans are delicious on their own, but toasting them makes them incredibly buttery and rich...they're like candy! Spread pecans on an ungreased baking sheet and toast them in a preheated 350 degree oven (or a toaster oven) for about 10 minutes (watch them closely to make sure they don't burn). Enjoy them whole as a scrumptious snack, or chop them up and sprinkle them into oatmeal or low-fat yogurt.
